Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) is a private,  public-benefit nonprofit organization established in 1981 by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors with the mission “to attract, retain, and grow businesses and jobs for the regions of Los Angeles County.”

LAEDC helps businesses with economic research, coordinated site search, incentive information, market and demographic data, and coordination with government entities. LAEDC also facilities workforce development.

LAEDC advocates for innovation in Los Angeles through its research and policy and is a member of Clean Tech Los Angeles, which in October 2011 founded the LA Cleantech Incubator and the La Kretz Innovation Campus. LAEDC also publishes industry reports on topics such as the SoCal Construction Industry.
