Hüga Technology's first model home - a 450-square foot one-bedroom (plus a loft), one bathroom unit. Hüga Technology, a company incubated from the design studio, Grandio, completed its first prototype home in 2019 in Córdoba, Argentina. Hüga is made from reinforced concrete and lightweight polymer and has an adaptable structure that means the home can be extended or reduced depending on what’s needed - the home is designed to be indestructible (withstands climatic phenomena), and can even be buried. Energy efficient, reinforced concrete and relocatable - the volumetric modular unit can be installed on-site in just one day. The Argentinian studio spent two years developing the prefab, which it describes as ‘another step in evolution, to transform our homes.’
