IDEO is an international design and consulting firm with nine offices and 700 employees worldwide. IDEO was founded in 1991 in Palo Alto, California by famous innovator, David Kelley, who also founded Stanford University’s world-famous Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, known as the d.school. From designing the first manufacturable mouse for Apple to advancing the practice of human-centered design, IDEO has long been at the forefront of creating change through design, helping organizations in the public and private sectors innovate, grow, and bring to market new ideas.

Through design sprints, prototyping, and venture building, IDEO’s CoLab’s Collaborative Cities portfolio combines lessons from urban planning with capabilities of emerging technologies to design more sustainable, livable, inclusive, and intentional cities for people and businesses alike.
