Housing on Merit (“HOM”) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit affordable housing development partner with 11,000 units across 60+ properties. HOM partners with over 15 leading affordable housing developers and operators on a variety of affordable housing communities across the U.S., providing on-site and virtual resident services and qualifying properties for discounted financing, philanthropic and government grants, and property tax exemptions. Housing on Merit’s resident services include rental assistance navigation, financial education workshops, employment training, after-school programs and tutoring for youth, and ongoing programming focused on health, wellness, and empowerment.

HOM’s Board of Directors seed-funded the launch of The Housing Innovation Collaborative in 2019, in addition to supporting the global research platform’s continued development and growth in the years since its launch.
