“Housing as healthcare” is the mantra often used to describe the critical impact of housing on the health needs of vulnerable populations.

The nation’s largest integrated health system, Kaiser Permanente, believes that housing stability is a key factor in a person’s overall health and well-being. With this in mind, Kaiser Permanente created the Thriving Communities Fund, a $200 million impact investment fund focused on developing affordable housing and joined the Mayors and CEOs for U.S. Housing Investment coalition, which is dedicated to advancing long-term solutions to the nation’s housing crisis.
