Landscaping

Landscaping

Landscaping is an art form that greatly influences our state of mind as well as our physical and mental well-being, both at home and throughout the city.

Sustainable Trends

Urban Forestry: Los Angeles is home to the largest urban forest in the United States, with an estimated 10 million trees. By 2021, Los Angeles plans to plant 90,000 trees as part of the city’s sustainability plan.

Greywater System: A greywater system is used to take water that has already been used from places like your laundry, shower and sink and divert it to use in another purpose like watering gardens or landscaping instead of flushing it down into the sewer. It should be known that a plumbing permit is required to be obtained from the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) prior to the erection, construction, reconstruction, installation, relocation or
alteration of any greywater system.

Urban Gardens: For city dwellers, growing spaces are limited to balconies, rooftops, fire escapes, sunny windowsills, and tiny backyards. But these meager spaces provide great opportunities to grow all kinds of pretty and delicious plants. Some inspiration here.
