All homeless service providers and operators carry a desire, the same goal for all their guests, that at the end of the day, everyone who experiences homelessness will become successful in society.

The greatest challenge beyond shelters, navigation centers and transitional housing is permanent housing. Having an independent edifice builds that sense of purpose and ownership that encourages the responsibility we hope all will carry as we continue to help those who need a lifting hand.

RPM realizes it is time for a paradigm shift in constructing low cost permanent housing that’s as pleasing for an occupant, as it is for the neighbors. Imagine a multiple dwelling housing campus for up to 85% less costs than current conventional construction methods. For between $65,000 and $80,000 per unit or apartment, we can begin to provide permanent housing for our current homeless guests…and that’s a fully integrated and well-appointed apartment!

This is nothing new, as RPM brings transitional housing from worldwide workplaces, our permanent housing solution is also based on technologies currently utilized in, of all places, Antarctica! These stacked containers are fully reconstructed, with insulated walls, appropriate flooring, furnishings, kitchen, bathroom with shower, HVAC and the security of being part of a community that could be 400 strong. Container sizes of 8’ x 20’, 8’ x 40’ and 8’ x 45’ can fit into narrow spaces and can be stacked vertically with a corresponding bolt-assembly modular stair system and/or ADA ramps and elevators.

Designed for modules of 100, and arriving fully equipped and furnished, multiple dwellings reduce site construction costs because they’re built off site and footings are easier to plan. Easily dropped into place and connected to a utility system and each other. Fire rated applications allow the containers to be adjacent to existing facilities without additional building upgrades.
