U.S. Green Building Council – Los Angeles (USGBC LA)
The U.S. Green Building Council (known as USGBC), is a private 501(c)3, membership-based non-profit organization that promotes sustainability in building design, construction, and operation with 65 chapters nationwide. USGBC is best known for its development of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating systems (formed in 1993) and its annual Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building.
USGBC’s LA Chapter hosts over 90 annual events and programs. USGBC’s LA Chapter recently launched The Net Zero Accelerator Program in 2019 to support startups innovating in the world of building sustainability. Meet the inaugural 2019 cohort here.
