Subsidized Housing Built Affordably in Downtown Los Angeles
The 7th & Witmer Apartments is a 76-unit, 6-story, mixed-use permanent supportive housing development for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness built for under $400k/unit in Downtown Los Angeles. Delivered a (land+hard) cost per unit of $330,00 (compared to LA’s average of $450,000) while delivering on greater ESG social impact targets – including commercial prevailing wages to all construction workers, obtaining a “LEED for Homes” sustainability certification, and building the first greywater system in the City of Los Angeles that uses both stormwater and greywater to supply toilets and irrigation.
