AIA Los Angeles
The American Institute of Architects (“AIA”) is the collective voice of architects, with 95,000 members and more than 200 chapters around the world. The 501(c)(6) organization helped architecture become a licensed profession in the United States.
AIA recognizes and celebrates the best buildings and spaces, and the people behind them, with some of the most prestigious awards in the built environment and hosts networking events, career development, and advocacy work in the architecture industry.
In Los Angeles, AIA LA has been active in leading the conversation and serving as a forum for the architectural community to coalesce around, initiate, and fulfill strategies that reduce homelessness and increase housing affordability. They host regular meetings, including a AIA|LA Design for Dignity Conference each summer.
