Background

Enterprise has raised and invested nearly $16 billion in equity, grants and loans to help build or preserve nearly 320,000 affordable rental and for-sale homes, creating vital communities and more than half a million jobs nationwide. Founded in 1982 by developer/philanthropist James W. Rouse, the Columbia, Maryland-based organization encompasses a family of companies under the Enterprise umbrella, including Enterprise Community Partners, Inc., a national Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization. In addition, financing services are offered through tax-exempt subsidiaries, Enterprise Community Loan Fund, Inc., and Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. Housing development is offered through a related entity, Enterprise Community Development, Inc. a 501(c)(3). Asset management is offered by two taxable entities, Enterprise Community Asset Management, Inc and Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital, LLC.

Enterprise Community Partners is a national nonprofit that brings together nationwide know-how, partners, policy leadership and investment to multiply the impact of local affordable housing development.

Housing Innovation Initiatives
