Posted in October 2020 by Los Angeles City Planning Department, the training walks viewers through each step of the development review process―beginning with the submission of a project application at the public counter and ending with the approval of a building permit. The training introduces residents, newly elected neighborhood council board members, and members of community-based organizations to City Planning’s development review process and provides viewers with the tools and resources to stay informed and participate in the process in the City of Los Angeles. The annual Planning 101 series provides a general overview of the core functions of planning in Los Angeles and serves as an educational and practical resource for anyone interested in learning more about how land use policies are created and implemented.
